Kenya Wallach
Kenya has a vast range of corporate and educational experience. Prior to joining Discovery Education, Kenya served as the Head of Operations for Curriculum and Professional Development at an international mathematics education company. Kenya also spent six years as the Supervisor of Mathematics and Science for the Stafford County Public Schools in Virginia where she led the implementation of a new curriculum and managed a team of math specialists who worked directly in schools to support math instruction. Kenya previously worked as a K-12 Mathematics Instructional Specialist in the Richmond City Public Schools in Virginia and also worked as a consultant with Richmond City where she facilitated professional learning and professional learning communities which resulted in an increase in state math assessment scores from 40 percent to 80 percent in one year. Kenya started her career as a secondary-level math teacher and high school administrator.
Kenya holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics with a minor in Japanese and a Master of Education degree in Educational Administration and Supervision.
